Flamingos, salt pans and slave huts from the Bonaire cruise port
Drive the flat south: pink salt pans, white salt mountains, the historic slave huts and, often, flamingos feeding in the shallows.
How much time do you need?
Plan 3 hours for the whole trip, travel from and back to the ship included. Add a safety margin of about an hour and a half before your ship leaves: you want a port stop of at least 4.5 hours to do this without stress. Your ship's all-aboard time is what counts.
