A compact 16th-century fort on the point, with a small museum and cannons facing the sea, next to the harbour lighthouse. The seafront Malecón runs east from here.
How much time do you need?
Plan 1.5 hours for the whole trip, travel from and back to the ship included. Add a safety margin of about an hour and a half before your ship leaves: you want a port stop of at least 3 hours to do this without stress. Your ship's all-aboard time is what counts.
